Evaristo is a pioneering legal consultant and cross-border business strategist with over two decades of experience bridging Latin America and Asia. He holds the historic distinction of being the first Mexican lawyer to earn a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Chinese and Comparative Law.

An expert in navigating complex multijurisdictional landscapes, Evaristo founded La Nao Group in 2008 to assist Latin American companies entering China and Hong Kong, and Asian enterprises expanding into Mexico and Latin America. Under his leadership, La Nao successfully placed the first-ever Latin American IT company in the prestigious Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP).

Prior to La Nao, Evaristo practiced civil and commercial litigation in Mexico for over four years, worked in the China Practice of a prominent Hong Kong law firm, and co-founded the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (the first Latin American chamber of commerce in Hong Kong and Mainland China).

Alejandro is a Partner at La Nao Consulting and has been advising international businesses in Hong Kong and Asia for more than fifteen years. Since joining the firm in 2009, he has worked with entrepreneurs, SMEs, family-owned businesses, and multinational companies seeking to establish, manage, and expand their operations across Asia. His experience spans corporate services, international business development, cross-border advisory, and international trade, with a particular focus on supporting companies from Latin America and Spain entering Asian markets.

Experience

Alejandro, throughout his career, has helped businesses navigate the commercial, cultural, and operational challenges of doing business between Asia and Latin America. He served as President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and previously as Vice-President of Events, strengthening trade and investment relationships between Mexico, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. At La Nao Consulting, he leads business development initiatives and manages relationships with many of the firm’s key clients. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and actively explores the use of AI, automation, and digital technologies in professional services.

About

Agustina is a partner of La Nao Consulting and is based in Buenos Aires. She is an Argentine-qualified lawyer who graduated in 2011 from the Catholic University of Argentina Faculty of Law.

In 2014, she moved to Hong Kong. She joined the legal department at La Nao, where she assisted and advised clients on corporate, contract, and commercial international law, including intellectual property strategic advice.

In 2018, she relocated to Argentina and continued supporting La Nao Consulting’s international practice from Buenos Aires.

Experience

Agustina has experience in intellectual property cases, predominantly in China, Hong Kong, and other Asian jurisdictions. She has been involved in advising clients on their international intellectual property strategy, registering trademarks in different jurisdictions, and handling complex cases involving intellectual property rights with customs.

Education

Graduated with first-class honors from a full-time Master of Laws in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law at The University of Hong Kong.

After four years in Hong Kong, she moved to London and focused mainly on intellectual property cases in the European Union. She passed the first Qualified Lawyer Transfer Scheme (QLTS) exam in London to become a qualified lawyer in England and Wales.

About

Rusvel is the head of the tax and accounting department at La Nao Consulting. He is a Certified Public Accountant responsible for developing existing clients and managing accounting and tax matters for La Nao Consulting clients.

Experience

Rusvel worked as an accounting assistant in small and medium-sized companies from 2012 to 2016.

Later, Rusvel joined one of the Big Four accounting firms, providing bookkeeping services and preparing financial statements for different companies worldwide. During this period, he received project development training and team management and specialized in preparing financial statements under IFRS and US GAAP standards.

In 2021, he joined the tax and accounting team at La Nao Consulting as an accounting consultant, supporting the Hong Kong headquarters and contributing to the development of the team in Buenos Aires. He became the head of the accounting department in 2022.

Education

Graduated as an accountant from the economics faculty at Alejandro de Humboldt University, Caracas-Venezuela.

About

Holly is based in Hong Kong. She is part of La Nao Consulting’s corporate governance team. She facilitates the incorporation of companies and the internal and external management of corporate documents on behalf of La Nao’s clients. In addition, Holly assists clients in their applications to open corporate bank accounts and any communication related to corporate matters with local banks.

Experience

Holly joined La Nao in 2022. She manages the corporate governance and KYC matters of La Nao’s clients and constantly updates records to maintain up-to-date information concerning Anti-Money Laundering obligations.
She is affiliated with the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI).

Education

Holly graduated from the University of Manitoba in Canada with a degree in Environmental Studies, focused on Sustainable Development. She has completed a Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting and Corporate Governance at the City University of Hong Kong and is an Associate Member of the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI).

Fernando is a qualified Argentine lawyer and a consultant at La Nao Consulting. Fernando advises companies in international corporate matters, international contracts, and dispute resolution.

Experience

Fernando assists the legal department in La Nao with contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and corporate matters.

Fernando deeply understands how companies do business internationally. He also has experience in arbitrations.

Education

Fernando graduated from the University of Buenos Aires Law School, where he was awarded the title of “outstanding student” for 2019 and 2020.

As a student, he participated in two moot courts regarding commercial and investment arbitration. Later, he became the university team’s coach and a private international law teaching assistant. Additionally, he has taken postgraduate courses regarding business and international arbitration.

Fernando is part of several international arbitration and young practitioners’ organizations.

Laura is an associate at La Nao Consulting. She is a public accountant who contributes her experience and skills to our clients. Her career demonstrates her dedication to excellence and ability to adapt to diverse work environments.

Laura studied at the University of Buenos Aires and graduated as an accountant in 2019.

Experience

Laura is an accounting professional with an exceptional career in the field. In the summers of 2012 and 2013, she worked as a junior auditor at one of the Big Four accounting firms during the professional internship programs.

With more than seven years of experience at a leading accounting firm, Laura demonstrated significant growth, starting as a junior and rising to the position of Sector Coordinator, leading teams and delivering financial statements to various companies.

Her experience expanded further when she joined an energy company. In her role, Laura assumed full responsibility for the accounting of the energy division, which spanned four companies. She stood out for her ability to coordinate the consolidation of this division with the controlling company.

Laura’s decisive approach and commitment to solving everyday challenges define her. Her ability to manage teams and her experience delivering financial statements to different entities make Laura a valuable addition to our team.

Education

In addition to graduating from the University of Buenos Aires, Laura is a member of the Federation of Professionals in Economic Sciences of the City of Buenos Aires, where she participates in the Finance and Young Professionals commissions.

Raymond was born in Hong Kong. He joined La Nao in 2019 in Hong Kong. He assists in corporate governance matters and keeps records of clients.

Experience

Raymond is a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and is affiliated with the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI).

Before joining La Nao Consulting, Raymond acted as general manager and director for different companies in Hong Kong in consulting, aviation, and insurance.

Education

Raymond holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the City University of Hong Kong and then a Master of Finance from The City University of New York.

Christina joined La Nao Consulting in 2021. At La Nao, she works in corporate governance and supports clients with corporate matters. She is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Christina has over 20 years of experience in accounting, corporate services, and general administration.
